WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) sent a letter to President Biden today offering several commonsense ideas to help address America’s supply chain crisis. The letter presents six potential actions the administration could take to help ease the supply chain crisis and ensure stores have stocked shelves in advance of the Christmas season.
“People in Wyoming see empty shelves and long shipping times, and they’re eager for solutions,” Senator Lummis said. “I look forward to hearing from President Biden and finding ways we can address this crisis now to make sure consumers have access to goods and businesses can operate smoothly as they enter into the busiest time of the year.”
Rampant inflation and interruptions to U.S. supply chains caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are resulting in empty shelves and high prices in Wyoming and across the country. Senator Lummis’s letter lays out solutions, such as regulatory relief on the trucking and railroad industry, to help ease the pain of the current supply chain crisis.
