Washington, D.C.— Today, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee announced her support for former Congressman Lee Zeldin’s nomination to serve as Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
“Lee Zeldin has my total and complete support to lead the EPA due to his commitment to cutting onerous regulations and unnecessary red tape that has destroyed industries throughout Wyoming and the west,” said Lummis. “Lee and I served together in the U.S. House, and I have been honored to call him a friend and colleague for many years. I cannot wait to work with him in his next role as EPA Administrator.”
This morning, Lummis met with Zeldin to discuss her priorities for EPA including rolling back the Biden administration’s attacks on western energy. Sen. Lummis also highlighted the important role Wyoming plays in powering the nation and the world.
