U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) criticized President Biden’s $6 trillion budget proposal, which would ramp up federal spending to its highest sustained level since World War II.
“People in Wyoming and across the country have grave concerns about reckless federal spending and our soaring national debt,” Senator Lummis said. “Wyoming folks live within their means, and we expect the same of our government. President Biden’s budget takes federal spending to historic levels, and will only make rising inflation worse. Congress needs to wake up. We cannot continue to mortgage our children’s and our country’s future.”
A Gallup poll from March found that 78 percent of Americans had personal worry about the national debt and federal deficit.
